Yoga is one of the largest and oldest forms of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are asanas/ postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing.
Yoga is a transformational practice that inspires the union of mind, body and spirit. It helps us to tune in to our body’s needs and in turn providing us with many health benefits as well as increasing flexibility.
It has been proven that yoga has great health benefits, both mental and physical. As well as increased flexibility, strength and balance, it can also help with poor digestion, insomnia, arthritis, stress, and many others. In addition, yoga is recommended for people with injuries, mental health issues and those preparing for marathons and other endurance type of exercise.
